To embrace and strengthen the belief of "Our Children- Our Future", Wikwemikong is committed to ensuring that a sufficient number of approved foster homes are available to prevent any children from having to leave their home community when in need of temporary or long term care.

To demonstrate that Wikwemikong has the human resources through it's health and social service network to take ownership and responsibility in taking care of it's own community members who may require assistance to lead healthy lifestyles.

Foster parents are needed for short and long term placements.

Those interested in becoming a foster parent may contact the Wikwemikong Family Centre or Kina Gbezhgomi Child and Family Services.

Under the leadership of Chief Walter Manitowabi, Wikwemikong's dedication to ensuring that children stay within the community materialized with the committment of two new homes dedicated to housing children in foster care on reserve
