PARENTING
|
| Parenting programs aid in the awareness of today's present lifestyles. This history of native parenting is an important component to the program delivery as it is the foundation of the family dynamics. The program utilizes our elders to share their experience and knowledge on topics related to parenting. Communication and behavioural skills are presented to improve parent and child interaction. Appropriate discipline methods are provided to evolve a responsible child. Parenting is offered in three components; Raising the Children, Living With Teens, and Families in Action |

ONE ON ONE PARENTING
|
| One on One Parentng sessions are offered as support to parents having greater difficulty with their children. By addressing the parental issues, stressful events can be alleviated. |

ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER (ADD/ADHD) SUPPORT GROUP
|
| This program is provided for those parents of ADD/ADHD children. It offers support to the parents by inviting guest speakers to provide information. |
|
KINOMAAHDAH (MOTHER SUPPORT GROUP)
|
A program for mothers to share their experiences as parents, as well as provide literature and hands on approaches for parenting. A craft component is added for mothers to learn and share with their children.
